It didn't work as it states that the installed device isn't compatible with the driver trying to be installed. The laptop is running WIN 7 and is in test mode as one of the SMO8810 drivers was unsigned. I now have complete access to the BIOS settings. This is all a result of ongoing BSoD issues I've had which I thought were resolved via this forum for other reasons related to a BIOS password I needed to bypass (which I finally did). I'm assuming the devices are present if able to be seen in the DM so I'm puzzled as to how to correct the situation. The DellABC6 issue caused a BSoD upon driver install and I've tried several versions of the SMO8810 STMicroelectronics accelerometer drivers, again unsuccessfully. I enabled the devices and thereafter attempted installing the appropriate drivers, unsuccessfully. I will mention that I'm primarily an end user and not as tech savvy as I'd like to tackle these issues but paying for outside support is way more than the machine is worth so with that said I appreciate any assistance I can get as the machine functions well otherwise.Īfter performing a BIOS update I noticed (probably coincidental) that there are two devices listed in Device Manager that have no drivers installed (and were disabled).
